ABOUT CYPRUS The birthplace of Aphrodite, goddess of love and beauty, Cyprus offers a magical blend of romance, history, and relaxation. With 2 international airports based in Paphos and Larnaca, you can reach any part of the island within a couple of hours drive, with the large upgrade of roads and motorways. During the summer period these resorts come to life with Ayia Napa being the favourite for its nightlife and compared to favourites such as Ibiza. Cyprus also has a large trade of offshore and global companies, which base their offices in the capital Nicosia and the Limassol area. With the growing popularity of the island trade and entertainment has risen with the times. All areas of the island have a large variety of bars, restaurants, theatres, and leisure facilities. Climate Cyprus enjoys fine weather forecast nearly all year round. The climate is typically Mediterranean but may become extremely hot during mid-July through August. The swimming season begins from very early April and lasts up to late October, offering the local people and tourists a nice getaway almost all year around. For the Mountain Resort lovers, Troodos mountains and its surrounding traditional villages are covered in snow from late November up to late January.

Kapparis Kapparis is an up and coming, peaceful and picturesque locality with easy access to the towns of Paralimni and Deryneia, and also to the resorts of Protara, Pernera and Ayia Napa. Although the resort offers beaches, restaurants, supermarkets and bars, a car is essential. Protaras Ayia Napa's quieter neighbour, Protara is a remarkable modern resort which grew quickly from virtually nothing in the late 1970's and now stretches along the coast for 4 km, with hotels dotted all along its length of Fig Tree Bay and its smaller Pernera beach area. The market suitability is more for families and couples with a reasonable choice of entertainment and shopping, there is not to boisterous nightlife or youth market appeal as of its neighbour Ayia Napa with its large variety of bars and clubs. Music is blaring from various bars on the beach area. Nissi beach is a long stretch so you can either find a quiet spot or carry on with the various beach parties. Ayia Thekla Beach - is 7km west of Ayia napa, it is by far the quietest beach in town, next to a tiny beautiful church, which is visited by locals and travellers. |
